These terms govern your use of Buzón temporal (buzontemporal.com), a free service that gives you a temporary email address to receive messages without signing up. By using it, you accept them. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.

The service

Buzón temporal gives you an email address as soon as you open the page, or one with the name you choose if it's free. The address only receives mail: you can't send or reply from it.

It's free and needs no account, password or personal details.
Each mailbox lasts 60 minutes. You can renew it at any time: renewing sets the countdown back to 60 minutes; it doesn't add to it.
When it expires, the mailbox is deleted with all its messages, usually within a minute. It's also deleted when you ask for a new mailbox, and you can delete single messages before that.
Attachments are removed on arrival and never stored. A message whose structure doesn't allow removing them safely isn't stored.
Messages are shown in isolation: they can't run scripts or load images or other resources from the internet, which blocks tracking pixels.
The mailbox belongs to the browser that created it, through a cookie. Nobody else can open it, although anyone who knows the address can send mail to it.

Who can use it

The service is not directed at children under 14. If you're younger than that, don't use it.

Allowed and prohibited use

You can use Buzón temporal for any legitimate purpose: signing up for sites you only want to try, receiving downloads or newsletters, testing your own projects, and so on. You may not use it to:

Receive, store or distribute illegal content.
Commit or facilitate fraud, scams or impersonation.
Send or coordinate spam, or get around other services' limits or anti-abuse measures in breach of their terms.
Attack or overload the service, or try to access it or other people's mailboxes without permission.
Do anything that breaks the law or infringes other people's rights.

We may stop anyone who abuses the service from using it and remove any mailbox or message involved.

What it's not for

Don't use a temporary address for anything you want to keep or recover later: important accounts, banking, shopping or any service where you may need to reset your password or receive codes in the future.

When a mailbox expires, its address becomes free again and anyone else can choose the same name later. That person would receive any mail still sent to the address, including password reset links.

Mailbox names

You can choose the part of the address before the @ from letters, numbers, dots, hyphens and underscores, up to 64 characters: accents are dropped, Cyrillic and Greek are transliterated and any other characters are discarded. Names go to whoever asks first while they're free, and some are reserved. Using a name gives you no rights over it.

Verification and limits

Creating a mailbox requires passing a Cloudflare Turnstile check, usually invisible, that tells people from automated programs. The service limits the number of requests per minute and of mailboxes created per hour from the same connection, and may turn requests away for a while when demand is high.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, or that it will deliver every message, or deliver it on time. Messages may be lost, for example if a technical failure forces the active mailboxes to be emptied.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Buzón temporal is not liable for damage arising from using or being unable to use the service, for lost messages, or for the content of the messages you receive, which is the responsibility of whoever sends them. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights under consumer protection law.
